In the saddle of a Vespa you'll discover Ostia – an ancient city, the port of Rome at the mouth of the Tiber river.

The first Roman maritime colony founded in the seventh century BC by King Anco Marzio according to the traditional story, was developed particularly in the imperial era as a commercial center and port, which is closely related "all'annona" (supply of grain to the Capital).

Rome was well if Ostia did well.

Today the imposing ruins, closed by cypresses and pines, reveal more information about ancient Rome than any other monument of the capital.

With its theater and baths, its forum and temples, its commercial districts and redisential quarters Ostia is an extraordinary good example of an ancient Roman city and its daylife.

Ostia is well worth the visit.
