Driving Requirements (for self-drive option)
Please read carefully: If the following conditions aren’t met, you will not be allowed to drive your own Vespa. You can still join the tour as a passenger with one of our local drivers.
1) Driving Experience
Previous scooter experience is mandatory. Rome’s traffic can be intense and is not suitable for beginners.
Minimum age to drive: 18 years.
2) Driving License
- EU license holders: Category A or B accepted (includes UK, Switzerland, Israel, and Turkey).
- Non-EU license holders: Must also show a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) at check-in.
- US citizens: Must bring the IDP issued by AAA or AATA.
3) Security Deposit
A €500 security deposit (credit card or cash) is required before departure and returned at the end of the tour.
